Blue Plaid Purse

I've been so busy helping Ryan with his remodel project...I haven't had much time for projects of my own. I did manage an hour or so the other day and made this purse from leftover fabric see here from the grandkids room in Hawaii.  Thought it needed polka dot fabric for the lining though.

And look what I dragged out of the closet!!!  My old friend the serger.  I bought this in 1988...see how the plastic has yellowed?  But it still runs perfectly.  I'm having some trouble getting the tension right... think maybe it deserves a tune-up.  

 I'm excited to start serging again...it will save tons of time on some of these sewing projects!
